The Pickens County Board of Education will conduct a called board meeting on Tuesday, July 27, at 5:00 p.m. The board is expected to discuss personnel in executive session. There will be a discussion over board policies and surplus property as well.
This meeting will be held at the Board Conference Center on D.B. Carroll Street in Jasper.
As always, the public and employees are invited to attend. The regular meeting of the Pickens County Board of Education scheduled for Thursday, July 8th at 5:00 p.m. has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 15th at 5:00 p.m. -June 29, 2010 School Board Schedules a Called Board Meeting

Tuesday, May 25 The Pickens County Board of Education will conduct a called board meeting on Tuesday, May 25, at 5:00 p.m. The board is expected to discuss personnel and pending litigation in executive session.
This meeting will be held at the Board Conference Center on D.B. Carroll Street in Jasper. As always, the public and employees are invited to attend. Information on House Bill 251 Information Letter School Board Schedules Finance and Facilities Workshop followed by a Called Board Meeting on Tuesday, May 18th. The Pickens County Board of Education will conduct a finance and facilities workshop followed by a called meeting on Tuesday May 18th at 5:00 p.m. The board meeting will begin after the workshop is concluded. The board is expected to discuss personnel in executive session. This meeting will be held at the Board Conference Center on D. B. Carroll Street in Jasper. Wednesday, May 12 The Pickens County Board of Education will conduct a called board meeting on Wednesday, May 12, at 5:00 p.m. The board is expected to discuss personnel in executive session.
This meeting will be held at the Board Conference Center on D.B. Carroll Street in Jasper.
As always, the public and employees are invited to attend. Pickens County Schools announce the implementation of the AlertNow rapid communication service. Pickens County Schools is pleased to announce the implementation of the AlertNow rapid communication service. Using AlertNow, schools are able to deliver voice and e-mail messages at a rate of more than two million per hour. Over the next six weeks, parents can expect one or two messages while the schools test the new system. Messages will be short and to the point lasting between 20 and 50 seconds. The telephone numbers being called are generated from the contact information each school has on record for the student in Power School, the student information database. Parents should ensure that the school has accurate contact information for their child. If parents want to receive email notification, they are responsible for providing accurate email contact information to the school office. E-mail messages will be delivered from NOREPLY@ALERTNOW.COM. |
