School Board Schedules a Called Board Meeting and Facility Workshop
Thursday, May 7
-May 6, 2009

The Pickens County Board of Education will conduct a called board meeting and a facilities workshop on Thursday, May 7, at 4:45 p.m. The board is expected to discuss personnel in executive session. These meetings will be held at the Board Conference Center on D.B. Carroll Street in Jasper. As always, the public and employees are invited to attend.

Pickens High School Addition Open House
-April 20, 2009

The Pickens County Board of Education proudly announces the open house for the Pickens High School additions. The additions include 20 new classrooms, a new theater, band room, chorus room, art room, and gymnasium. Visitors may also tour the new Agri-science building which is still under construction at this time. The open house is scheduled for Sunday, April 26 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. A brief ceremony will be held in the new theater followed by a self-guided tour. The public is cordially invited to come and view the newest additions to Pickens High School funded by SPLOST III dollars. Pickens High School is located at 500 Dragon Drive, Jasper, Georgia.

School Board Schedules Finance Workshop and Called Board Meeting Monday, April 20
-April 17, 2009

The Pickens County Board of Education will conduct a finance workshop on Monday, April 20, at 4:30 p.m. followed by a called board meeting. The board will discuss elements of the FY10 budget. The board is expected to meet in executive session to discuss personnel.
These meetings will be held at the Board Conference Center on D.B. Carroll Street in Jasper.

Each of our schools has their own web site which can be accessed from this location and includes items such as school events, schedules, and teacher contact information.
