Graduation Bus Shuttle Service -May 7, 2010 Pickens County Schools will provide free bus shuttle service to and from the Pickens High School Graduation Ceremony this year. Buses will leave from and return to the parking lot at Chattahoochee Technical College and at Pickens County Middle School. Bus service will begin at 7:30 A.M. from each location and continue with departures every 15 minutes. The last shuttle bus will leave the parking lots at 8:45 A.M. on Saturday morning, May 22, 2010. Return service will begin 15 minutes after the ceremony ends and will continue with a departure every 15 minutes from the stadium area located at Pickens High School. The last shuttle will depart from Pickens High School 45 minutes after the ceremony ends. This service is offered free of charge to any person(s) attending the Graduation ceremony of the Class of 2010 at Pickens High School. For more information you may contact the Transportation Department at 706-253-1727, Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

School Board Schedules Finance Workshop Thursday, April 29 -April 28, 2010 The Pickens County Board of Education will conduct a finance workshop Thursday, April 29, at 5:00 p.m. The board will discuss elements of the FY11 budget. This meeting will be held at the Board Conference Center on D.B. Carroll Street in Jasper. As always, the public and employees are invited to attend.

School Board Schedules a Called Board Meeting Monday, April 12 -April 9, 2010 The Pickens County Board of Education will conduct a called board meeting on Monday, April 12, at 5:00 p.m.  The board is expected to discuss personnel in executive session. This meeting will be held at the Board Conference Center on D.B. Carroll Street in Jasper. As always, the public and employees are invited to attend.

School Board Retreat at Brasstown Valley -January 7, 2010 The Pickens County Board of Education will hold a planning retreat on January 8, beginning at 4:00 p.m. and continuing through 12:00 p.m., January 9, 2010.  This retreat will be for planning purposes only, and the board will not vote or take any official action. The retreat will be held at Brasstown Valley, 6321 US Highway 76, Blairsville, Georgia.
